My very first entry for the Dragon Swap LiveJournal Community. I got to do the Artic, the founder, with her character's mate, Deagle! Squee! This was great fun to work on, but it there are so many things that could have been done better. Bleeeech. If I weren't in such a time crunch, I'd have completely restarted this piece. Here's what bugs me:

- Heads are disproportionate to bodies (Artic's too big, Deagle's too small!)
- Deagles mane is SO SLOPPY. I could have done so much better on the fur. I feel like I didn't even try.
- Not nearly enough layers. So many "holidays" in the coloring, especially on Deagle. I should have been more careful with a sharper pencil tip.
- The impact isn't well illustrated. Artic is supposed to be pouncing, but it looks so awkward. Definitely could have done better on the sketch :\
- Should have added Deagle's tail...might do that in the future.
- Artic is so horribly inaccurate! I made her far too equine, not nearly enough reptilian/draconic :\

Graaaah...it's just sloppy. SLLOOPPPPY. I did this in one sitting for about..8 hours? That's shorter than most of my artwork....this could have been a lot better if I had a few sittings :\

So long as the receiving end likes it, I guess none of that matters, right? ^^
