Grraahh! And this one had so much potential, too! I messed up on so many things. The snout and nostrils are completely wrong, the colors are too light, and the forest floor was absolutely destroyed, so I botched it and left the remainder of the paper blank. I read on another DA that to push a piece of artwork until it cracks is the best way to learn something new in the art world, which was certainly the case for this.

Anyways, this is a piece of artwork I did pretty recently (maybe a month ago?) for Rah-Bop, an amazing artist. She too is a dragon of this good green Earth, and she too is madly in love with birds. Here she is happening upon a magpie in an old, boreal forest, resulting in a silent but meaningful conversation. Those tend to be the best sorts of conversations to have in the natural world, methinks.
