The last page of my last sketchbook from college! Tears ;.; This is a piece of gift art I did for Raveness in 2007 before Pokemon stole my soul. She is such a pretty dragon with such a musical spirit that seems rather evanescent to me. I tried to capture this with the wispy clouds and the heavy wing strokes. I find black dragons hard to color, this was good practice for me.

I hope you like it, Raveness! It was certainly a pleasure to draw!

holy cheese i love this!!! black and purple are my favourite colors (at the moment) lol and once again you did perfectly coloring the black scales! i have another question for you...lol what do you use to outline the dragon with?

::laughs:: thank you! Black and purple are a great color combo, methinks. This piece was done entirely in colored pencils (mix of Prismacolor and Crayola). I used the black colored pencil of either one of those two brands, I can't remember which. Probably Crayola since I burn through black, and I'm cheap XD
